Christine is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP). She is passionate about working with the paediatric population. She spent over 10 years in various clinical and community settings working with children, adolescents, and their stakeholders, including at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), a children’s home, and a special education school. She obtained her Bachelor and Master degrees in Psychology from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the University of Edinburgh.

Christine conducts psychotherapy and clinical assessments to children & adolescents with mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, chronic school refusal, and neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder). She has experience consulting parents to ensure a holistic management plan of their child’s learning/behavioural needs.

Christine adopts a systems-oriented approach in her work with children and young people. She works collaboratively with children and youth as well as their families and schools. This is complemented by her ability to establish strong partnerships with the different stakeholders.

She also conducts neurodevelopmental and learning assessments for children with various neurodevelopmental conditions such as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability (ID) and Specific Learning Disorders. She is also experienced in special education placements and providing recommendations for both classroom and examination accommodations.

Appreciating the individuality in every person’s journey, Christine adopts a client-centred approach in therapy, drawing from various evidence-based therapeutic approaches to suit her clients’ needs. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA). As a firm believer in authenticity and trust, Christine creates a warm and safe space for children and young people in therapy, guiding and empowering them as they navigate life’s experiences.

As a mother to two children, Christine appreciates and understands the journey of parents through the various stages of childhood and adolescence. In her spare time, Christine loves spending time with her family, travelling, and spending time in the great outdoors embarking on adventures with her family.

Christine provides therapy and assessments in English and Mandarin.
