Clinical Psychologist
Vicky graduated with a Master of Psychology (Clinical) from the National University of Singapore. She is registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists and is a full member of the Singapore Psychological Society. Vicky has been working closely with young children and their families across public health settings since 2016.
Vicky provides a range of therapy interventions and psychological assessments for children. She works with children and families on developmental, behavioural, and emotional difficulties where she focuses on employing evidence-based interventions within a compassionate and family-centered approach. She has worked with a diverse caseload of children, including young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability (ID), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Anxiety and Mood Disorders, Selective Mutism, trauma, and other complex needs. Vicky’s clinical interests lie in nurturing secure attachment between caregiver and child, and in developing children’s social-emotional skills.
She has previously presented at various conferences, including on virtual play-based coaching for caregivers and burnout, work engagement, and mental health among professionals. In addition, her earlier research explored reading anxiety in children with dyslexia.
Vicky is trained in various techniques and approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-focused CBT, Functional Behaviour Assessment, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-based Interventions, ASIST (Suicide Intervention), Autism Diagnostic Observational Schedule (ADOS-2), mentor coaching and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). She is also a trainer for the Be The Light crisis support programme for young children.
Vicky is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space that respects clients’ values, helping them achieve their goals and empowering them to thrive.
She values a strengths-based humanistic approach to partnering with her clients and firmly believes in the importance of collaboration, fostering resilience, and promoting self-discovery throughout the therapeutic process.
In her personal time, Vicky finds joy in volunteering and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. She also enjoys travelling in search of mountains to hike and learning something new —whether it’s dressmaking, pottery, or her latest interest: watercolour painting.
