Sharyn graduated from Queen Margaret University with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 2014. She has 9 years of experience as a paediatric occupational therapist, working with young children and adolescents across various settings in Singapore.
Sharyn has experience working in a variety of settings including early intervention centres, mainstream preschools, clinics and in client’s homes, providing occupational therapy to children and adolescents with developmental delays, autism, attention deficit and hyperactivity, and multiple disability. Sharyn is trained in different therapy approaches including sensory integration, handwriting without tears, therapeutic listening, ALERT Programme, and SOS Approach to Feeding.
Her clinical interest lies in early intervention and play to support children in achieving their fullest potential. Sharyn is constantly incorporating the client’s goals into meaningful routines and activities at home and in the clinic (e.g. cooking, sewing, art and craft).
She is experienced in conducting a variety of assessments including the Sensory Profile-2 and Beery VMI.
Sharyn firmly believes in creating a safe space for the children to explore and challenge themselves while supporting them in gaining their full potential in their everyday lives.
In her spare time, Sharyn enjoys watching a show or playing a game or two to unwind from her busy day. She also loves travelling with family and friends to explore different parts of the world.
Sharyn provides therapy in English and Mandarin.
