Cherish’s personal philosophy is to effect positive change in the lives of others.
Cherish graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 2014. She has 9 years of experience as an occupational therapist, first working with the adult/geriatric population in a restructured hospital to working with young children and adolescents with special needs across different settings in Singapore.
She has experience working in early intervention centres, mainstream preschools, inclusive preschools and special education schools, providing occupational therapy to clients with various conditions, including physical disabilities, developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and sensory processing difficulties.
Cherish is trained in different therapy approaches and programmes such as Sensory Integration, DIR Floortime, Handwriting Without Tears, Therapeutic Listening and the ALERT programme. She attends relevant trainings on a regular basis to enhance her knowledge and skills.
Her clinical interests lies in early intervention, use of sensory integration and play to help children and their families achieve the best outcomes. She is constantly looking out for opportunities to work on goals through activities that are meaningful to the child. She also believes in building close partnerships with caregivers throughout the therapy process.
Cherish is a mother to young boys and looks forward to spending time outdoors with them.
Cherish provides therapy in English and Mandarin.
